Description

This is a limekiln located north-east of High Greenfield Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from sandstone and limestone rubble, featuring larger coping blocks made of grey stone. The structure has a tall triangular corbelled opening with a narrow lintel, set within a rectangular retaining wall that extends into the hillside.
