Description
Pine Cottage, originally a police house, is located north of Heatheryclough and dates from the early 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed squared grey sandstone with painted ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof with stone gable copings. It stands two storeys high and has one wide bay. On the left side, there is a boarded door with an overlight and a flat stone lintel. To the right, there are renewed 16-pane sash windows, which also have flat stone lintels and stone sills. The gable copings are supported by moulded kneelers, and there are through-stones that project from the corners on the first floor. A stone chimney is located at the right end of the building.
