Description

This limekiln, located approximately 600 yards southwest of Dick's Oldwalls, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed from squared stone with stone dressings and brick linings. The structure features a hexagonal screen with three large segmental openings that decrease in size towards the interior. The outer sections of the arches are lined with brick, while the inner parts are made of stone. Additionally, there are round-headed drawing eyes, and the brick-lined pot is well-preserved.
