Description

The limekiln is an early 19th-century structure made of roughly-dressed whinstone, featuring sandstone arches. It has three large segmental arches in a canted screen wall, with a smaller arch to the right. There is a stone-lined pot that is partly filled in. The limekiln is situated in a dramatic location.
