Description

This listing describes a pair of stone lions and their plinths located by the front door of Cheswick House. These Chinese lions date from the 19th century and are made of sandstone. They are highly detailed and sit on richly decorated plinths. The lions were brought from China in the 1870s by William Crossman, who served as a military attache there.
