Description

Western House is a house built in the later 19th century. It is constructed from squared tooled stone, featuring tooled and margined quoins and dressings, and has a slate roof. The building has one storey with an attic and is symmetrical with two bays. It has a plinth and a central four-panel door with an overlight, which is flanked by paired altered sash windows that have drip moulds and slightly projecting sills. The verge of the gabled roof overhangs and returns, and there is a large central stepped and corniced chimney stack. This building is included for its group value.
