Description
Eastern House is an early 19th-century house located at Rivergreen Kennels. It is built of squared stone and has a slate roof, featuring a T-plan layout. The house stands two storeys high and has three symmetrical bays. It includes a plinth and a central four-panel door with an overlight above it. The windows are 12-pane sash types with slightly projecting sills. The gables are coped and have kneelers, with a stepped and corniced stack at the right end and a rebuilt brick stack at the left end. On the left side, there is a porch set at the angle of the main block and the rear wing, which has a boarded door with an overlight. Adjoining the rear wing is a short section of garden wall that features a re-set chamfered doorway, which has a moulded panel on the lintel inscribed with: H 17RR29.
