Description
Holme House is a house from the late 18th century, with earlier origins and later alterations. It is built of coursed squared stone, mostly featuring herringbone tooling, while the lower courses are plain. The roof is made of pantiles. The house has two storeys and four bays, with a single-storey outbuilding added to the left. There was a former doorway in the second bay that is now blocked and has a painted window. The windows are 20th-century two-light casements, and all openings have keyed lintels, with the windows featuring projecting ashlar cills. The house has shaped kneelers and ashlar coping, with end stacks. The outbuilding has a window on the right with a plain lintel and a small inserted window on the left. At the rear, there is a 20th-century door to the left of centre under a keyed, herringbone-tooled lintel. On the right return, there is a small, blocked, round opening in the gable.
