Description
Manor House is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with later alterations and additions from the early 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from coursed squared stone with herringbone tooling and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of two bays, with a 19th-century block added to the rear right corner and a 20th-century block (not of special interest) added at the front angle formed by the two blocks. There is also an outshut at the rear of the main range that extends along the side of the 19th-century addition.
The main range features a central half-glazed door with interlaced glazing bars, set within a wood surround that has pilasters and a dentil cornice, topped with a corbelled hood. On either side of the door are 20-pane sash windows in flush wood surrounds, and above, there are two similar unequally-hung 15-pane sashes. All windows have plain stone lintels and projecting sills. The building has shaped kneelers and ashlar coping, with end stacks.
At the rear, only the first floor of the main range is visible, featuring a central 8-pane side-sliding sash with a keyed lintel. The 19th-century addition has a similar window to the right, a hipped roof, and brick stacks. On the left return of the main range, there is a 16-pane sash window on the ground floor left and a small rectangular opening in the gable. The right return of the 19th-century addition includes several 16-pane sashes with tripartite lintels, and on the ground floor to the left, there is a 12-pane sash window with sidelights and a similar lintel eaves band.
