Description
Meldon Village Farmhouse is a house that was originally built in the 18th century and later remodeled and extended in the early 19th century, with a rear wing added in the late 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed tooled stone and has a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has a layout of one bay on the left and three bays on the right. The central entrance features a renewed door with a three-pane overlight and a raised tooled stone surround. The windows are 12-pane sash windows, some of which have been renewed, and they have slightly projecting sills. The gables are coped, and there is a stone stack at the right end and a brick stack on the ridge. Inside, there are some 18th-century features, including one fireplace.
