Description
High House is a house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and features a graduated stone slate roof. The central three bays are two storeys high, while the left-hand bay is two storeys and the right-hand bay is one storey. The main entrance has a central four-panel door with an overlight above it. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and on the first floor, there are two 16-pane sashes, with the central one being blind. All openings have plain ashlar surrounds. The house has shaped kneelers, stone coping, and end stacks. The left bay is set back and has 16-pane sashes, with its roof hipped to the left. The right bay features a two-light 19th-century bay window with sashes and a hipped roof, with the roof hipped to the right.
