Description
High Burn Bridge is an 18th-century bridge that was widened by John Carr in 1796. It is constructed of ashlar stone with a coursed squared stone parapet. The bridge features a single segmental arch, which is detailed with voussoirs and a hood-mould. There are pilaster buttresses, each with an arched niche, and a decorative band runs along the structure. The bridge has a coped parapet. Notably, half of the bridge is located in the parish of Swinton with Warthermarske.
