Description
Needlesshallmoor Farmhouse is a house that was originally built in the 18th century and remodelled in the early 19th century. It is constructed from squared stone with tooled and margined dressings and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays, with the three-bay section being symmetrical. The central entrance has double doors topped with an overlight. The windows are 12-pane sash types set in surrounds that have a narrow chamfer and slightly projecting sills. The gables are coped and feature kneelers, with stepped and corniced stacks at the ends. To the right, there is a lower section that includes a 20th-century window in an older chamfered surround, with a 12-pane Yorkshire sash window above it. This section also has a coped gable with kneelers. There is a lean-to section at the far right that is not of interest. The rear elevation includes an outshut with 18th-century masonry.
