Description

Stocksfield Hall Farmhouse is a house from the early 18th century that was refenestrated in the early 19th century. It is built of squared stone with tooled dressings and has a slate roof, along with brick and stone stacks. The south elevation features two storeys and three symmetrical bays. The central entrance has a renewed door with a three-pane overlight and a moulded gabled hood supported by consoles, flanked by four-pane sash windows. The first floor has twelve-pane sashes, with the central one being renewed. All openings are set in raised stone surrounds. The gables are coped with moulded kneelers, and the left end stack has been rebuilt in brick.

The right return also has three bays, with the central bay featuring a renewed door and a blocked window above. The gabled left bay includes four-pane sashes on both the ground and first floors, as well as in the attic. The right bay has paired plate-glass sashes with a four-pane sash above. All openings, except for the attic window, are in raised stone surrounds. The right gable is coped with moulded kneelers and supports an old brick stack with a stone cornice, along with a stepped ridge stack.
