II

Church, 1825 by W. Crawhall. Squared stone, rusticated quoins and window surrounds, slate roof, Simple rectangle plan with lower, gabled west porch. Gothick style. Plinth. South elevation has 4 pointed, Y-traceried windows with raised keystones, mostly retaining original glazing; sill band. East end has central three-light window with intersecting tracery flanked by lancets, embattled coping. North wall has 2 smaller 2-light windows. Coped west gable,with kneelers, carries bellcote with segmental arch. West porch has south door with plain tympanum under pointed arch with rusticated surround. North door, re-used from earlier chapel, in moulded and lugged architrave under open pediment with coat of arms and 1701 date. Interior: west gallery on 4 cast-iron columns. Disused at time of survey and most fittings removed.
