Description
Beaumont Mine is a range of former lead mine workshops located on the east side of the site, dating from the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of rubble with a slate roof and stands two storeys tall, featuring 20 bays. It has four boarded doors with overlights, two cart entrances, and 12-pane sash windows, some of which have been altered. The structure includes four ridge stacks and two end stone stacks. To the left, there is a single-storey section with 10 bays that has similar openings. Inside the two-storey section, one ground-floor room houses a hydraulic engine built by Armstrongs of Newcastle in 1847, which was originally used for pumping in the mine workings and later for operating the estate sawmill.
