Description
Allen Lodge is a house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of squared stone with an ashlar plinth, rusticated ashlar quoins, and dressings, and features a projecting eaves course. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, and there is a central stack. The building has two storeys and three windows. The central door is flanked by 16-pane sash windows, and all openings have alternating rusticated surrounds, with a square-section cornice above the door. The two-bay returns have similar windows, although the right side first-floor windows have been renewed. The rear elevation is similar to the front but lacks the cornice above the door. There is a single-storey garage extension to the right of the door.
