Description

The walls and gate to the War Memorial garden were built in 1925. They are constructed from snecked stone with cut dressings and feature wrought iron elements. On the north and east sides of the garden, there is a low wall with chamfered coping that once supported rails. The wall curves inward on either side of the entrance on the north side, which is marked by posts topped with ball finials. These posts hold an attractive gate that has a pierced lower rail, curved bars, and a design resembling naturalistic vine. This structure is included for its group value.
