Description

The garden wall and right gatepier at Red House date from the early 18th century. The wall is constructed of regularly coursed drystone ironstone with a cemented top. The gatepier, which may be from the early 20th century, is made of ironstone ashlar and features a moulded cornice and a ball finial. A section of the wall has been rebuilt, curving back around the War Memorial, which is not included in this listing. This structure is an important element in the street and is included for its group value.
