Description
Lavender Cottage and The White House are a pair of cottages that form part of a row, built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from regular coursed limestone and have a concrete tile roof with brick ridge and end stacks. Each cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, featuring a two-window range. The entrances have half-glazed doors. Lavender Cottage, located on the left, includes a fire window to the right of the entrance and a casement window to the left, along with 19th-century three-light casements. The White House has 20th-century three-light casements positioned close to the door on the left. All openings are topped with painted wood lintels. The left return side and rear of Lavender Cottage are finished with imitation ashlar render, and the gable features brick corbelling. The interior has not been inspected.
