Description

The Hollies is a house likely dating to the late 17th or 18th century, though it incorporates elements of an earlier building, possibly from the 16th century. It is constructed of regular coursed ironstone, with the left-hand section featuring alternating wide and narrow courses. The house has a simple splayed cornice and a tile roof with brick end stacks. The original plan comprised two units. It is two storeys high with a two-window front. A central doorway has been blocked. Late 18th or 19th-century casement windows are present, each with a painted wooden lintel. A blocked, chamfered stone fire window is visible on the left-hand side. A separate entry door is located in an adjacent building, which is not included in the listing. The interior has not been inspected.
