Description

This is a lamp standard located north-west of the gates to the Church of St. Mary in Longframlington. It dates from the mid-19th century and is made of wrought iron, standing on a stone base that has been tooled and margined. The upright block base supports the standard, which is enhanced by four swept brackets featuring pierced ornamentation. At the top, there is a basket with a lampholder, topped with a white glass pyramidal piece and a finial. This lamp standard is included for its group value with the church.
