Description
Lishman House is an early 19th-century house located in Longframlington Village. The front and left side of the building are made of squared stone, while the other elevations are constructed from roughly-squared stone. It has a Welsh slate roof, featuring one stack that has been rebuilt in brick and rendered. The house is two storeys high and has three symmetrical bays, with sill bands. The central entrance consists of a flush-panelled door topped by a 4-pane overlight, and there are renewed 12-pane sash windows throughout. The hipped roof is adorned with two stepped-and-banded ridge stacks, one of which has been rebuilt. The left return has similar bands and window styles, with one bay.
Inside, there are some fielded-panel doors and a dog-leg open-string staircase that features a ramped moulded handrail, moulded newels, and two diagonally-set stick balusters per tread. A later outshut at the rear is not considered to be of special interest.
