Description
This is an ornamental lamp standard from 1873, located to the east of Wesley Methodist Church on Victoria Road in Hartlepool. It is made of stone and cast iron, featuring a square base with a plinth and cornice. The lamp standard supports a fluted column that is decorated with acanthus moulding and has a cross-head. The original lampholder has been replaced with a 20th-century version. This lamp standard is included in the listing for its group value with the surrounding structures.
