Description

This cast iron lamp standard, located on Church Street in Minster, dates from the late 19th century. It features a fluted base topped with a bulbous moulding decorated with a pattern of anthemion leaves. The tall cylindrical column has moulding at the top, along with a junction box and a curved lamp bracket. The lamp itself is from the late 20th century. This lamp standard is one of only three remaining late 19th century lamp brackets in the historic centre of Minster.
