Description

WALLINGTON DEMESNE WALLINGTON NZ 08 NW NZ 033852 8/210 Farm buildings to west of Prior's Hall Farmhouse GV II Farmbuildings, south range dated 1777 on lintel, north range with dates of 1820 and 1828. Squared stone with tooled dressings; stone slate roof on north range, slate elsewhere. Ranges on 3 sides of rectangular farmyard open to the east. North range 2 storeys, 5 irregular bays: shelter sheds with granary over. Arcade of 3 segmental arches ('T, Stokoe 1820' on left pier) with boarded door to right and stone stair on left to boarded granary door, J.T. 1828 on lintel; part-slatted windows to right. West range single-storey former threshing barn. 2 boarded doors in alternating-block surrounds. South range single-storey former byres, now tractor shed. 2 boarded doors in chamfered surrounds; 2 similar doors to rear; C20 opening in east gable.
