WALLINGTON DEMESNE CAMBO Calverley Cottage and The Vicarage

(Formerly listed as Houses to east of Post Office)

GV II Pair of houses. Western early C19 heightened c.1880, eastern built as Vicarage c.1880. Squared tooled stone, slate roofs.

Two storeys, seven bays. Boarded door with overlight in chamfered surround in bay three, early C20 wooden porch with latticed pointed fanlight in bay six; late C19 sashes except for twelve-pane sashes to ground floor of bays one and two. All first floor windows in gabled half-dormers with overlapped slab coping. Right gable has moulded kneelers and similar coping. Two stepped and corniced stacks on ridge and one at right end.

Listed for group value with Pele House. Extension to right rear not of interest.
