Description

North Hill Cottages is a pair of houses from the 18th century that were altered in the mid-19th century. They are constructed of coursed rubble with stone slate roofs. Each house is two storeys high and has two bays with a central door, which is slightly irregular. The doors are flush-panelled, with the western house featuring a 2-pane overlight and the eastern house having a 4-pane overlight. The western house has 6-pane sash windows with tooled lintels and slightly projecting sills, while the eastern house has 4-pane sash windows, with the lower ones likely being older and altered. Both houses have end and ridge stacks, and there are later extensions to the east and west that are not of interest.
