Description

Abbey Cottage is an 18th-century house that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed from rubble with roughly-cut quoins, tooled lintels, and sills, topped with a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three irregular bays. There is a boarded door located between the second and third bays, and the windows are renewed sash windows. The cottage features stone end stacks and a distinctive dogtooth ridge, where the stone slates overlap and alternate in projection above the ridge.
