Description
This is a mid-18th century outbuilding located to the north of No. 5 on Blanchland Shildon Road. It is constructed of coursed stone with stone slate roofing and has a single storey divided into three bays. The first bay features a blocked door with an inserted 6-pane sash window to the left. Bays two and three each have an inserted 6-pane sash window to the left, along with boarded doors framed in an alternating-block surround. Each of these bays also includes a small slatted window in a tooled-and-margined surround to the left. The gabled right return displays boarded double doors beneath a timber lintel, with a boarded pitching door in a stone surround above. The rear elevation contains a boarded door set in an irregular tooled-and-margined block surround, along with a 6-pane casement window.
