Description

These are two houses located on Cotton End Road, dating to the 18th century with alterations and extensions from the 19th century. The western part of the building is timber framed and covered with a pebbledash render, while the eastern part is of mottled brick. The roof is tiled with clay. The houses are arranged in an L-shape, originally consisting of a two-room block. The projecting gable on the left-hand side features one two-light window on each floor, with a cambered head. The main block contains one single-light and two two-light windows on each floor; the ground floor single-light window also has a cambered head. All the windows are casement windows with glazing bars. The entrance doors are of two planks. The left-hand door has a lean-to porch, and the right-hand door is covered by a sloping hood supported on brackets. Two brick ridge stacks are present, one on the cross-wing and one on the main block, marking the division between the two properties.
