Description
The Owl House, located on the north side of the Walled Garden at Wallington, is a gazebo built around 1766. It is constructed of brick with ashlar quoins and dressings, topped with a slate roof. This small, two-storey, one-bay building has its lower floor concealed by a later greenhouse. The structure features raised alternating-block quoins and a renewed 24-pane sash window set in a raised surround. It also has a moulded cornice and a pediment adorned with side ball finials and a central stone owl. At the rear, there is a projecting brick chimney. An external stone stair wraps around the building, leading to a first-floor door on the east side.
