Description

This is a 19th-century milepost located approximately 200 yards south of the Newstead road end in Adderstone with Lucker. Made of cast iron, it stands about 2 feet high and has a triangular shape with a canted triangular top. One face is inscribed with "A9," while the opposite side features the letter "B," indicating directions to Alnwick and Belford.
