Description

This icehouse, located approximately 440 yards south-west of Close House, dates from the 19th century. It is constructed of dressed stone and brick, forming a grassy mound. The entrance features a sloping approach with curving stone side walls. Inside, a short tunnel with stone walls and a brick segmental-arched roof leads to a round, brick-lined, egg-shaped chamber.
