Description
Low Tunstall Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th century, with possible earlier elements and later alterations. It features coursed limestone walls and a concrete interlocking tile roof with stone gable coping, along with rendered left end and ridge stacks. The rear has a catslide roof with a narrow intersecting gable. The building is two storeys tall and may consist of two separate constructions.
The main garden front has replaced sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, except for a small tripartite sash window on the right. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century French window, a recessed doorway, and two mid-19th century 20-pane sash windows. To the right, there is a short screen wall in front of a wooden stair leading to the first-floor granary door. A pent extension is located at the back, and there is a small new attic window in the gable end. An old fire insurance plaque is positioned in the center of the front elevation.
