Description
The bandstand in Ward Jackson Park was built in 1901 by J.&.A. Law Ironfounders from Glasgow. It features a brick and stone base, with cast iron columns topped with Corinthian capitals, along with decorative railings and spandrels. The structure has an octagonal plan and is topped with an ogee metal cupola that has a decorative eaves board, cast iron angle consoles, and ornamental cresting. At the center, there is a swept spirelet adorned with a patterned cast iron gallery, a cupped ball finial, and a vane.
