HARTLEPOOL PARK AVENUE NZ 43 SE (west side) 3/87 Clock tower, in Ward Jackson Park

Clocktower, 1921. Red brick with stone dressings, lead roof and stone ball finial. Ashlar plinth on 3 stone steps. Square in plan and approximately 6m high. Fluted corner pilasters. String course below clock faces, on east and west sides,and louvred openings to other sides, in moulded wreath surrounds. Stone plaque on east side inscribed: "The gift of Alderman John Brown J.P. Mayor 1902-3-4. In Consideration for others 1921".
