Description
The clock tower in Ward Jackson Park was built in 1921. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings, topped with a lead roof and a stone ball finial. The tower stands on an ashlar plinth raised on three stone steps and has a square plan, measuring approximately 6 meters in height. It features fluted corner pilasters and a string course below the clock faces on the east and west sides, with louvred openings on the other sides, all framed in moulded wreath surrounds. A stone plaque on the east side reads: "The gift of Alderman John Brown J.P. Mayor 1902-3-4. In Consideration for others 1921."
