Description

The clock tower, built in 1899, is located on the west side of Market Square in Wainfleet All Saints. It is constructed of red brick, featuring burnt brick and ashlar dressings. The tower has a square plan and is topped with a pyramidal lead roof that includes a weathervane. At the base, there is a deep plinth with a doorway on the east side, which has a plank door. The other three sides of the plinth display single plaques inscribed with the date '1899'.

The structure has three battered stages, separated by bands of burnt brick. Each side of the tower features a single keyed ashlar oculus that contains a clock face, flanked by clasping pilasters with moulded capitals and dosserets above. Each corner of the tower is adorned with ashlar ball finials.
