Description

This is an early 18th-century house with an attached shop, significantly altered around 1800, the late 19th century, and the 20th century. The building is constructed of colourwashed and rendered brick, with a hipped concrete tiled roof hidden behind a parapet, and a single chimney stack to the rear. The two-storey, four-bay front features a plinth, a partially intact first-floor band, and a flat eaves band. A doorway is positioned on the right-hand side, featuring a pilastered doorcase with paterae, a frieze, an entablature, a panelled reveal, an overlight, and a partially glazed door. A 20th-century fixed bow window is located to the right of the doorway. A late 19th-century shop front occupies the left side, with a central partially glazed door and overlight, set within a reveal, flanked by paired lights with semi-circular traceried heads. A panelled frieze and entablature sits above the shop front. A plain sash window is located above the shop to the left, with three glazing bar sashes to the right.
