Description
The bandstand in Macrosty Park, Crieff, was built in 1907 and features an octagonal shape. It stands on a base made of stugged ashlar, with polished ashlar courses that rise above it. The bandstand is adorned with fine decorative cast-iron railings and has slender polygonal angle columns, each featuring a decorative base and Ionic capital, along with filigree brackets. These columns support a ribbed boarded timber ceiling that includes a pendant iron finial. The structure is topped with a pyramidal roof, which also has an elongated decorative cast-iron finial.
