Description
The bandstand, built in 1892, is an octagonal structure raised on a painted stone plinth featuring rectangular moulded panels on each side. It has a low pyramidal lead roof made up of eight triangular sections, topped with open scrolled ironwork resembling an onion dome and a spike at the top. The eaves overhang and are adorned with a decorative frill and scrolled ironwork cresting on all sides. The bandstand is supported by eight cast-iron columns with Ionic capitals, annulets, and octagonal bases, which hold up an octagonal frame of horizontal girders beneath the eaves. In the corners, there are decorative ironwork brackets featuring a lyre motif. Most of the openwork iron balustrades, which include central floriated panels, are still intact. On the east side, there is an ironwork stair with a plain handrail and two twisted baluster shafts.
