Description
Macrosty Park in Crieff features boundary walls, railings, and gates dating from 1902. The park is enclosed by a variety of coped rubble boundary walls. At the south entrance on Comrie Road, there are two-leaf decorative cast-iron gates that display the names 'MACROSTY' and 'PARK', flanked by polygonal cast-iron piers and railings that have similar outer piers. The north entrance showcases banded polychrome square-section ashlar gatepiers with a cavetto cornice, topped with squat conical ball-capped finials, and is flanked by decorative cast-iron quadrant railings. Additionally, there is a further decorative cast-iron pedestrian gate and polygonal gatepiers set between plain railings to the north.
