Description
The bandstand, located in the Botanical Gardens, was built in 1873. It is an elongated octagonal structure. The base consists of a stepped plinth constructed from buff and blue brick. Eight twisted Corinthian iron columns support arches with decorative, scrolled spandrels. Three of the eight sides feature glazed screens. The platform is paved with red and blue brick and incorporates a scrolled iron railing. A hipped roof of patterned slate is topped with two iron finials.
