Description
This detached farmbuilding, located 20 metres south-east of Killerby Grange, was originally built as a stable, loose-box, and loft, and is now used for storage. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed from squared rubble with a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and consists of five bays, featuring tooled quoins. A central stone stairway is flanked by small fixed lights and boarded doors set in flush surrounds. The stairway leads to a first-floor boarded door, also in a similar surround, with four-pane fixed lights on either side. The roof is steeply pitched, and there is a boarded opening on the left return of the first floor. Inside, the right bay contains a loose-box, while the left side features a four-bay stable with raking wood partitions and a continuous rear-wall hay rack. This building is included for its group value.
