Description
This 18th-century milestone is located 100 metres west of the junction with the B6277 in Rokeby, on the north side of the A66. It is made of cut sandstone and is painted white with black letters. The milestone has a triangular shape with a sloped top. The incised and painted inscription reads "Greata Bridge 2¼/Bowes 3¼ MILES." It stands 0.45 metres tall.
