Description
Whitfield House Cottage is a house that forms a wing of Whitfield House, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof topped with a yellow brick chimney. The building stands two storeys tall and has one window. The left end is partly obscured by an adjacent building. At the right end, there is a six-panel door beneath a three-pane overlight, which is framed in painted plain wood and has a bracketed hood. The wide ground-floor window has 20th-century glazing, a flat stone lintel, and a projecting stone sill. The first-floor window is a sash with wide glazing bars set in a tooled raised stone surround. A chimney is located at the left end of the building.
