ESH ESH LAUDE NZ 14 SE 10/4 Stables, loft and 18/8/76 carriage shed to Church of St.Michael

GV II

Stables, loft and carriage shed. Circa 1800. Coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings; Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 6 bays. Boarded doors in second and fourth bays, the latter with 2-pane overlight, under flat stone lintels. Similar lintels to small rectangular 2-light windows in sixth bay and on first floor; horizontal sliding sash with glazing bars under wood lintel in third ground-floor bay; vent slits at left, and blocked at right of second door. Flat stone lintel to doorway at left end under wall continuous with loft. Right return gable has hit-and-miss window under flat stone lintel; sash with glazing bars above into gable peak; double boarded vehicle doors in outshut. Rear elevation has full-width one-storey outshut with double and single boarded doors, and wide vehicle entrance with altered lintel.
