Description

This building, which serves as a house and shop, is located east of the south entrance to the churchyard of the Church of St Michael and is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, topped with a clay pantiled roof featuring stepped coped gables and brick end chimney stacks. The structure has two stories with an attic and consists of two bays.

On the first floor, there are 15-pane sash windows with plain surrounds, although there are signs of a blocked middle window. Below these, between the bays, is an angled one-storey bay window with 1+3+1 panes, a rendered stall riser, and a hipped Welsh slate roof. The lower bay has a 20th-century glazed door, and to the right of this door is the timber jamb of an earlier window. To the left of the bay, there is brick patching or blocking that indicates a former doorway. A pitched roof attic dormer window is situated in the center of the roof.

The interior of the ground floor has been significantly modified, and the remainder of the interior has not been seen. At the rear of the property, there is a former separate cottage that features a 4-light hollow chamfer mullioned window with a label and old leading at first floor level, located on the north side overlooking the churchyard.
