Description
This building, located between Chancery House and Tudor Cottage, is a house that now serves as solicitors' offices. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of local lias stone and brickwork, which is rendered and colorwashed, with Ham stone dressings. The roof is shallow pitched and covered with Welsh slate, and there are brick chimney stacks.
The house is a corner property with two storeys and five bays, with the central bay positioned on a curved angle. It features sash windows with 16 panes in plain openings, and a 20-pane sash window in the lower central bay, which is also set on a curve. In the lower bay 1, there is a 6-panelled door beneath a plain fanlight, situated in a deep flat arched recess. Bay 4 has an open Doric portico that frames a pair of 3-panelled doors, which are set in a semi-circular arched recess with a radial-glazed fanlight above, reflecting the Regency style. The interior has not been seen.
