Description
The building is a stable located about 30 yards northeast of Michaelchurch Court, possibly dating from the mid-19th century. It features coursed rubble construction and a stone slate roof, with a small open ventilation tower and weathervane at the center of the ridge. The stable is one storey with an attic, aligned east to west, and has four windows, each with six panes and top vents under segmental heads. The central entrance consists of double oak doors, each with six panels, the top two of which have lancet-shaped heads. There is also a simpler oak door on the west gable end. Inside, there are four loose boxes with cast iron rails and posts. To the west of the stables, there are mid-19th century cast iron gates set under an arch that features a stone coronet. A rubble wall continues from the north flank of Michaelchurch Court and then returns southwards.
